Wellness can mean different things to different people. Wellness is more than being free of disease. I define wellness as a holistic, well-balanced approach to living that involves the body, mind and spirit. Optimal health and wellness is achieved when all of these elements are in balance.
Wellness is an active process through which people become aware of and make decision that promote overall wholeness, happiness, and well-being. This process begins with recognizing that you have physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs that left unmet and unbalanced can and will lead to dis-ease. As important, is an awareness of one's abilities, accomplishments, limitations, goals and taking responsibility for choices that impact your personal well-being and others.
Health and Wellness coaching will assist you in discovering your passions, strengths, dreams, desires and values. Through encouragement of personal responsibility, deep thinking, self discovery and self efficacy, coaching will assist you in connecting the dots between who you are and who you want to be.
